I had heard this before starting naplesplus, and boy, it sure rings true! After less than a year of operation, naplesplus has become a real destination for people searching for business info, jobs, items for sale, and more in Collier County, FL.
I hope one day to create a nice messageboard system, but for now, I'm content to be able to provide a consolidated information source, as messy as it may be at times, for people who live, work and visit the area.
Naplesplus has helped reunite old friends, helped people promote their business, allowed people to find new jobs, kept folks informed. We've had over 70,000 visitors to the site, many of whom are repeat visitors, some who come for information and leave, which is also great. Naplesplus remains non-profit in nature - it's a hobby of mine and an extension of NeighborHelp Referrals.
People spend an average of one minute and 22 seconds on the site, viewing 2.5 pages. Next to the homepage, which has enough information to be a launching site for many, the jobs-in-naples page is the most popular landing spot, followed by a single page I posted about fubar.com, and then the news section. Our free advertising has brought together dogs for adoption with new owners, brought business to musicians, given people information about difficult to find out about businesses operating in Collier County...
