Digital Photography & Imaging Club of Naples DPI-SIG
Our next meeting is this Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 7 p.m. Here's a preview of our schedule:
The theme for this month's slideshow is: "WHAT IS IT?". Members are eligible to submit 6 pictures or a 2 minute video.
We will have the popular Ask the Expert session for photography and computer related questions.
Harold Kurzman will present two plaques for DPI-SIG's Best Picture of the Year for 2009 for a Beginner and an Advanced Photographer. A member presentation will be given by Donna Cullen on her photography workshop trip to Savannah & Jekiyll Island in October, 2009, which was hosted by Carmen Schettino. If you missed the December meeting, Bob Melin will be bringing the Shy Wolf Sanctuary 2010 Calendars . Our members submitted photographs for their fund-raiser calendars. The calendars are $10.00 each. Bring cash or check to purchase these calendars. Six pictures submitted by members will be critiqued. Members are encouraged to send pictures for a critique by the audience.
FCCC Ribbon Awards will be presented to DPI-SIG members by Ed Thieme for the 2009 Third Tri-Annual FCCC Competition.
Our table full of door prizes will be available for our members and any new member who joins at the meeting. We will have books available again this month.
Don't forget to bring a dollar or two for the Rent container which is placed on the entry table.
If you have produced your own photo book and would like to show other members how you did it, please contact dpi-sig@naples.net so we can put a together a presentation at a future meeting.
