Wouldn’t that be great? Today we aren’t really going fly around the world, but we are going to highlight some of the best cuisine styles from around the globe created by Naples’ top chefs. Like the value of foreign currency, these restaurants have a range of affordability. It’s going to be a stomach-satisfying trip, so let’s go. Best Italian: Campiello Notables: Sale E Pepe(Marco), Naples Tomato, Pazzo!, Bellini on Fifth Veal, homemade pasta and a stunning atmosphere, Campiello’s has it all. The menu bears a definite Tuscan resemblance, and Chef Wicklander offers such mouth watering dishes as baked snapper served with artichokes and potato purée along with plenty of unique homemade pasta dishes. Enjoy live entertainment while you take a seat in the outdoor courtyard and prepare your taste buds for the Italian bounty that awaits. Best Chinese: Charlie Chiang’s (Doubletree Guest Suites) Notables: P.F. Changs, Shing Long Gourmet Chinese Charlie Chiang’s takes Chinese food to another level. They offer a large menu with all of the traditional names such as General Tso’s Chicken and Crab Rangoon, but they really shine with specialty dishes such as Sweet-Soy Glazed Short Ribs, Creamy Sesame Jumbo Shrimp and Lamb of Two Seasons. Located on the Cocohatchee River in North Naples, Charlie Chiang’s offers a chic atmosphere, which includes a full sushi-bar and a romantic outdoor seating area that overlooks the river. Best Caribbean: Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Cafe Notables: Yabba Island Grill, Parrot Key Caribbean Grill (Ft. Myers Beach) If you’re looking for island time then button up your flowered shirt because Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Café serves it up, mon. This laid-back Olde Naples destination has, as you would expect, a definite tropical mood. The Caribbean décor is bright, marked by all sorts of tropical plants and artwork. Tommy Bahama’s serves a medley of rather spicy American and Jamaican cuisine, including jerk chicken. Many patrons fall in love with the atmosphere and end up spending a good part of their day sipping on the many frozen tropical libations and listening to live music covering the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley and Van Morrison.
