High Life Expectancy in Collier County

On September 11, 2008, Matthew Amster-Burton wrote an article for CNNMoney.com. The article deemed Best Places for a Long Life talked about 25 counties in the United States where residents had some of the highest life expectancies. Collier County, which includes Naples, Marco Island and Bonita Springs ranked 4th, with the life expectancy at birth is 80.97 years. It described this area of Florida as a picture of leisure.
Collier County is the largest county in the state.
80 percent of this county is devoted to parks and nature preserves
Water related recreation and exercise is readily available
Naples has long been a destination for artists and art lovers with numerous places to take an art class or visit the 100+ art galleries in the area.
