Onychomycosis (Nail Fungus) is a common infection of the nail, and it may affect approximately 6.5% to 8.7% of the North American population. The GentleNail Laser is an effective, quick treatment that provides significant results with stubborn nail fungus. The GentleNail Laser treatment can effectively rid toenails of unsightly toenail fungus in as little as one or two treatments, depending on the severity of the condition. At the Family Foot and Leg Center, we have found that the 1320 nm laser by CoolTouch to be the most effective and gentle on the nail bed but tough on fungal cells. The CoolTouch 1320 nm laser is completely safe for the patient and ultimately controlled by the physician.

With the GentleNail Laser treatment the patient will also receive a Keryflex total nail resurfacing technology, leaving the nails looking healthy and clean while aggressively attacking the nail fungus. After the laser treatment, patients can return to normal activities immediately and will begin to see results within 2-4 months. There is virtually no pain with the laser treatment and it is a great alternative to prescription medications.
