AFRICAN CHILDRENS MISSION: LOCAL RESIDENT MISSIONARIES

After fulfilling all the requirements to become volunteer field missionaries, The African Children’s Mission (ACM) has accepted my husband (Gary Richards) and I (Shauna Richards) as partners in ministry. We look forward to serving with them beginning early September through November 2009 in Uganda.

This is NOT a “tourist mission”. This is a ground level, hands on mission, to bring relief to an area that desperately needs it. We plan to continue working with the ACM for years to come, as there is so much work to be done on this mission. A major role of ACM’s resident field missionaries is to host visiting mission volunteers. Over four hundred visitors have traveled to Africa to serve with ACM missionaries and national staff. We will take part in a wide variety of ministries including construction, water projects, teaching, evangelism, preaching, discipleship, medical ministries, storytelling, music, puppetry and overall encouragement. The need to care for homeless, orphaned, and destitute children is great in Uganda. The vision of African Children’s Mission is to be able to reach out in loving care to comfort and help ALL the children God places before us.
