Democrats Welcome Collier School Board Speaker Julie Sprague and Guest Singer, Student Erica Wagner

The Democratic Women’s Club of Collier County welcomed Speaker Julie Sprague of the Collier County School Board to the Saturday, October 17, membership meeting at Naples Best Western Plaza with DWC President Elaine Vaccaro presiding. The Honorable State Committeeman and Member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Chuck Mohlke and Steve Hemping, Collier County Chair, were also in attendance with a special guest appearance by Naples’ young talent, thirteen year old, Erica Wagner, performing the National Anthem to commence the meeting.

From the inviting “Welcome Democrats” sign and prominent portrait of the President, to the Flag adorned, freshly baked muffins, every detail of Americana was “picture perfect” as the DWC rolled out the “red carpet,” so to speak, for its members and guests. Elaine Vaccaro, DWC President and event designer, even shared a rare photograph of the late Senator Ted Kennedy. Young talent, Erica Wagner sparkled in her bright blue and sequined taffeta dress as she sang the “Star Spangled Banner” bringing the message of the National Anthem to the forefront of current affairs.

The Democratic Women's Club of Collier County, (DWC) Monthly Membership Meeting is at 10 a.m. to Noon, the third Saturday of every month at the Pine Ridge Best Western Hotel, 6400 Dudley Rd, (Pine Ridge Road and I-75), Naples, Florida,

The DWC Fashion Show and Silent Auction will be held at the Naples Beach Club on March 20, 2010. All Democrats are welcome, Members and Non-Members alike.
