    • COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -

    • Realistic-looking signs warning of illegal immigrants were spotted on Radio Road in East Naples on Sunday.

    • The two signs, attached to legitimate crosswalk signs, read "illegal alien crossing."

    • Residents in the area say their community is made up primarily of illegal immigrants.

    • A county worker drove by the signs Sunday afternoon and called it in to county transportation official.

    • Within 45 minutes, workers were on scene taking the signs down.

    • The Collier County Sheriff's office says the signs are being investigated as a code violation which comes with a $1,000 fine for each instance.

    • Additional charges could be filed if the perpetrator is caught.

    • Residents tell WINK News that a woman was run over and killed crossing the street in the same spot. After that incident a crossing light as well as the signs, were erected.
