A small local (Collier / Lee Counties) indoor air quality inspection company since 1999 is seeking individuals to assist Certified Indoor Environmentalists in mold inspections / testing, radon testing, VOC testing, “Chinese” Defective drywall inspections and other IAQ issues. NO lead or Asbestos assessments.
Job description: • Assist Certified Indoor Environmentalist / Licensed Mold Assessor during inspections / testing. • Learn to operate environmental sampling / testing equipment. • Learn to identify and document environmental issues. • Learn to write comprehensive reports for mold assessments and other indoor environmental issues. •Prepare assistant to become state of Florida Licensed Mold Assessor (Florida law requires: 1 year of experience with specific college degrees or 4 years experience with high school degree).•Prepare assistant to become ACAC council-certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE), requires 2 years experience, pass national proctored test, and board approval.
Requirements: Must have good communication skills and command of English language. Must be physically able to crawl thru attics and crawl spaces. Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word. Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Or 2 year degree in microbiology, engineering, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or a related field of science from an accredited institution. Must be Motivated & Driven and possess a Strong Work Ethic. Must demonstrate strong skills in teamwork and organization. The applicant must submit to a criminal background check.
• Location: Naples / Ft Myers • Compensation: Base $13 per hour / Rate of pay will be based on the experience of the candidate
