James Sweeney will speak on March 16 about recovery from the global recession at a luncheon presented by the “Above Board” Chamber of Florida.
The "Above Board" Chamber of Florida will present James Sweeney, Global Strategist and Managing Director for Credit Suisse on Friday, March 16, 2012. The luncheon will be held at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point from 11:30 to 1:30.
Savvy investors, financial advisors and community leaders are invited to attend this informative and educational event. Mr. Sweeney will discuss how the recovery from the global recession has affected economies, asset markets, and policies, with a focus on the United States. Recently seen on Bloomberg television, Sweeney will bring his views and knowledge of the world economy to Southwest Florida for a one-time event only. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
James Sweeney is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse in the Investment Banking division, based in New York. He is a member of the Global Strategy team, which is part of Fixed Income Research. His work includes tracking global growth and linkages among asset classes in order to contribute to the firm's market and economic views. He has focused on major themes such as the role of the shadow banking sector.
Mr. Sweeney sees major clients of all Credit Suisse divisions, and travels regularly throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. His work appears frequently in the global media.
Mr. Sweeney joined Credit Suisse in 2000, having previously worked as a political speechwriter. He holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BS magna cum laude from Florida State University. He is a John C. Whitehead Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association and a member of the Economic Club of New York.
