SSE also serves the cities of Bounemouth, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, Slough, Swindon and parts of West London. Another network serves about 740,000 customers in Scotland. The company has about 130,000 kilometres of lines and cables. Electricity Northwest said it had restored power at about 20,000 customers who had experienced power cuts on Wednesday. The company serves about 2.4 million customers through 13,000 kilometres of overhead lines and about 44,000 kilometres of underground cables. Elkectricity Northwest’s operations span Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and also portions of North Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Cheshire.
