The following are scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected, according to the Collier County Transportation Division.



⢠Collier Boulevard between Golden Gate Boulevard and Immokalee Road: On Collier Boulevard both northbound and southbound between Golden Gate Boulevard and Immokalee Road expect traffic to be diverted from two lanes to one lane, intermittently, as needed, for approximately six months on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting as crews work on the Collier Boulevard road widening project. Advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Collier Boulevard between Sawgrass Way and the Entrance to Wal-Mart: On Collier Boulevard between Sawgrass Way and the entrance to Wal-Mart expect traffic to continue to be diverted from two lanes to one lane both northbound and southbound, intermittently, for approximately one month from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews place water lines across the median. In addition, expect traffic to continue to be diverted from two lanes to one lane both northbound and southbound overnight from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the southbound left turn lane onto Forest Glen Boulevard to continue to be closed for approximately one month. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Collier Boulevard between U.S. 41 and Davis Boulevard: On Collier Boulevard northbound between U.S. 41 and Davis Boulevard expect traffic to continue to be reduced from two lanes to one lane, intermittently, through Thursday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as crews replace damaged guard rails. Flagmen, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Golden Gate Parkway Overpass Construction Project: On Airport-Pulling Road southbound between Mercantile Avenue and Estuary Drive expect traffic to be diverted from two lanes to one lane on Friday, Aug. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, and both northbound and southbound overnight on Sunday, Aug. 19 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., weather permitting. In addition, on Golden Gate Parkway both eastbound and westbound between Bears Paw/Estuary Boulevard and Livingston Road expect traffic to be diverted from three lanes to two lanes overnight on Monday, Aug. 20, through Saturday, Aug. 25, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. as crews pave the roadways. Flagmen, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. The speed limit has been reduced through the work area.



⢠Goodlette-Frank Road between Golden Gate Parkway and Pine Ridge Road: On Goodlette-Frank Road between Golden Gate Parkway and Pine Ridge Road both northbound and southbound expect traffic to be diverted from three lanes to two lanes, intermittently, as needed for approximately one month from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting, as crews do irrigation and landscaping installation. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Immokalee Road between U.S. 41 and Airport-Pulling Road: On Immokalee Road both eastbound and westbound between U.S. 41 and Airport-Pulling Road expect traffic to be diverted from two lanes to one lane, intermittently, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, for approximately one month as crews work to widen the four-lane roadway to six lanes. In addition, on Immokalee Road the westernmost access to Granada Shops will continue to be closed through Aug. 22. Drivers wishing to enter the Granada Shops should proceed to the next clearly marked access point. Flagmen, electronic message boards, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. The speed limit has been reduced through the work area.



⢠Immokalee Road between I-75 and Executive Drive: On Immokalee Road between I-75 and Executive Drive expect traffic to be diverted from two lanes to one lane, both eastbound and westbound, intermittently as needed, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, for approximately one week as crews re-stripe pavement and set up a temporary barrier wall as part of the Immokalee Road (I-75 to Collier Boulevard) widening project. Flagmen, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Logan Boulevard at the Intersection of Vanderbilt Beach Road: The south side of the intersection of Logan Boulevard at Vanderbilt Beach Road will be closed to all traffic on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting, as crews do underground utility work as part of the Vanderbilt Beach Road widening improvement project. Detours will be posted. Electronic message boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Oil Well Road between Immokalee Road and S.R. 29: On Oil Well Road between Immokalee Road and S.R. 29 expect traffic to continue to be reduced to one lane only for approximately one week from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews do shoulder improvements. Flagmen, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Radio Road between Manor Boulevard and Devonshire Boulevard: On Radio Road between Manor Boulevard and Devonshire Boulevard expect traffic to continue to be diverted from two lanes to one lane both eastbound and westbound for approximately three months from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews do median modifications. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠Rattlesnake Hammock Road between Polly Avenue and Collier Boulevard: On Rattlesnake Hammock Road between Polly Avenue and Collier Boulevard expect traffic both eastbound and westbound to be reduced from two lanes to one lane only, intermittently, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting, as crews work on the Rattlesnake Hammock Road Widening Improvement Project. Flagmen, advance warning signs, electronic message boards and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area. The speed limit has been reduced to 30 mph where there are traffic shifts and to 35 mph throughout the remainder of the construction work zone.



⢠Santa Barbara Boulevard widening project: On Santa Barbara Boulevard between Davis Boulevard and Coronado Parkway expect traffic to be diverted from two lanes to one lane intermittently in short segments, both northbound and southbound, for approximately one month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. In addition, expect traffic on Radio Road, both eastbound and westbound, between Devonshire Boulevard and Robin Hood Circle, to be diverted from two lanes to one lane for approximately one month from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting. Also, on Golden Gate Parkway, both eastbound and westbound, just west of Santa Barbara Boulevard expect intermittent lane closures for approximately one month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting, in order for crews to do utility and drainage work. On Davis Boulevard, both eastbound and westbound, between Santa Barbara Boulevard and County Barn Road expect traffic to continue to be diverted from two lanes to one lane overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., for approximately one week, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays for approximately one month, weather permitting, as crews install utility pipes. Santa Barbara Boulevard right turn lanes onto westbound Davis Boulevard will be reduced to one turn lane as needed. Law enforcement officers will be utilized during overnight work. Flagmen, lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠U.S. 41 between Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Collier Boulevard: On U.S. 41 between Rattlesnake Hammock Road and Collier Boulevard expect intermittent lane closures both eastbound and westbound to continue for approximately one month from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting as crews install irrigation and landscaping. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠U.S. 41 between Vanderbilt Beach Road and Wiggins Pass Road: On U.S. 41 between Vanderbilt Beach Road and Wiggins Pass Road expect traffic to continue to be diverted from three lanes to two lanes for approximately one week, both northbound and southbound, intermittently, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews do landscape maintenance. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠U.S. 41 between Wiggins Pass Road and the Lee County line: On U.S. 41 between Wiggins Pass Road and the Lee County line expect intermittent lane closures to continue for approximately one month between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews install irrigation and landscaping. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs, and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



WORK BY OTHERS



⢠Airport-Pulling Road between Pine Ridge Road and Clubhouse Drive: On Airport-Pulling Road southbound between Pine Ridge Road and Clubhouse Drive expect traffic to be diverted from three lanes to two lanes on Friday, Aug. 17 and Monday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as FPL crews transfer wires to a newly installed electrical pole. Flagmen, lighted arrow boards and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.



⢠U.S. 41 at the jntersection of Wiggins Pass Road: On U.S. 41 southbound at the intersection of Wiggins Pass Road expect traffic to continue to be diverted from three lanes to two lanes through Monday, Aug. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, as crews construct an entrance into the Germain auto dealership storage lot. Lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades will be used to assist motorists traveling through the area.
