I received a post card from CCD P.O Box 413019 Naples FL 34101 I called the number on the post card 800-530-2130 stating that I have been selected to receive a FREE fresh water pearl w/gold tone chain. I ask what the name of the company was and the rep said Consumer Clearing House and they need to charge $6.95 for a processing and delivery fee. I told him that I was not interested. I think this was a total scam.

This is a new scam going around. They ask for your credit card number to charge the shipping fee but they don't tell you that you have also signed up for a membership in their club . . . and they will charge a monthly fee to your credit card for that membership.

ACTUALLY.. if people paid attention during their phone calls..their card would never be charged for anything that they did not authorize. When you call Consumer Clearinghouse to claim your necklace and pay the $6.95 shipping, the representative will read you an auto-ship program offer that you DO NOT have to agree to. If you say "okay" or "yes" or anything along those lines after the rep offers it to you then guess what? You're getting jewelry auto-shipped to you every month. You really DO get a necklace just for the $6.95 shipping. And as long as you do not agree with anything else that they offer you then all that would ever be charged to your card is the $6.95. Every phone call is recorded, monitored and must pass a quality assurance audit which means...nothing can be charged to your card without your consent. The company SAVES these recordings specifically for THAT REASON. Don't believe me? Ask to hear your phone call

My mom was contacted by phone from someone saying they are with consumer clearing house. two different men talked to her asking will she be home on 08-06-10. They will deliver her a check for one half million dollars by messenger between 9am-11am. that's tommorrow. Anyone experience this or have any thoughts

They called my mom also-total scam. I got on the phone with them, and they refused to give me their phone number for "security reasons". She then told me she'd transfer me to Attorney Amanda Brady, and he'd (Amanda's a he ) give me their number. She then hung up on me. >

- Aug 12 I am so glad I looked this page up before giving them any real info. They are supposed to deliver my $500,000 8-14-10. I was in a hurry, so they gave me a number but insisted that I call back TODAY. Oh yeah,I am not to speak of this to anyone for my own safety. Hello Internet. I hope this helps someone else. >
How does this compare with others in the area? Do they have the best prices? How was the service?
