ATTENTION ORIGINAL BANDS IN NAPLES (NAPLES) -
When I moved to Naples from New York City and started a band down here, the first thing I thought was "We have to get out of this town.. theres no goddam scene here" ...
but Im beginning to see some opportunity here. There are alot of original bands here in Naples right?
but really no "scene" or community network, like in NYC, Baltimore, Minneapolis, etc... BUT there are a ton of people here.. this is a really highly populated city and contrary to popular belief the demographic is shifting from retirees to younger people quite rapidly..I offer this... We are going to be setting up some showcases all over town, in Naples, Bonita, Ft Myers..
we already have a few small venues that we are sure could use some help with business and could benefit the bands as well.. not just that but will eventually make our citys night life a bit more diverse and add some culture or "sub" culture around here..We would like to invite all original bands interested in becoming a part of some type of "scene" here in Naples to come down to Zookies on Immokalee rd Friday July 24. We just want to meet you and party with you and get to know whos out there and whos serious about what they do. act now, cause the shits gonna hit the fan eventually and you will want to be there when it does..
we are completely serious, we arent kids throwin together punk rock all ages crap, we are real musicians with real aspirations and we plan on blowin this town up and we plan on going national.. but before anyone can go national you have to kill it at home..
lets help each other out. insane guerrilla marketing is currently being planned out to get some word on the street.we are looking for ANY ORIGINAL band out there with a few exceptions.. you death metal bands already got a little underground thing goin on and really wouldnt go over too well with a mainstream crowd in Naples,
and all you rappers can go up to Ft. Myers and its all good... we need some ROCK, REGGAE, ROCKABILLY, INDIE, BLUES, COUNTRY, FUNK, JAM BANDS, ACOUSTIC, whatever.. so if you are interested in partying with us and getting some stuff rollin.. see you at Zookies Friday
