The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County are calling on all Southwest Floridians to bend over backwards at its Lunchtime Limbo Challenge on Saturday, May 15 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the new Pollo Tropical® at 3777 East Tamiami Trail to raise meals for its summer children’s programs. Pollo Tropical is pledging a meal for each person that bends over backwards for the event. Participants will also receive complimentary menu items from Pollo Tropical and appreciation certificates. Pollo Tropical hopes to raise 500 meals for the Boys & Girls Club by hosting 500 limbo participants.
The event is one of several Pollo Tropical events happening Saturday to celebrate the newly renovated restaurant, which features new menu items and table service.
Also on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., the restaurant is hosting “Rolling with Pollo” - a sanctioned dice game where participants roll lettered dice to try to spell “Pollo!” - and win the grand prize of $5,000. The contest is free to enter and is limited to the first 250 attendees that sign up to participate. Participants must be at least 18 years old, and each person receives only one turn at rolling the dice.
