The March meetings of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum will feature three companies presenting at both its Naples and Sarasota chapters.
Gulf Coast Venture Forum would like to notify existing members and those interested in membership of the upcoming monthly meetings of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum.
The Sarasota Chapter meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, from 4 to 6 P.M. at The Hyatt Regency Sarasota, 1000 Blvd of the Arts in Sarasota. The Naples meeting will be held the following day, Thursday, March 10, 4 to 6 P.M. at the Tiburon Golf Course Members Club Room, 2610 Tiburon Drive. All guests must pre-register in order to attend, and also must sign a waiver at check-in.
Presenting at both the Sarasota and Naples chapters are three growing companies: Pathworks Corporation; Trailpods, LLC; and XCPT Communication Technologies. Pathworks Corporation provides television, Internet, and telephone services through a fiber optic network. Trailpods presents COWs, a simple bolt-on business available to existing companies that would benefit by the use of residential friendly containers. XCPT Communication Technologies is an innovative software that allows doctors to easily load patient pictures, such as x-rays or scans, and create a treatment plan presentation in real time that can be shared with the patient, staff, referral team, and insurance company.
The purpose of the Gulf Coast Venture Forum is to promote the success of Southwest Florida’s new and emerging businesses by bringing together the best entrepreneurs, early stage venture capital firms and Angel Investors. Members of the GCVF meet monthly to hear about local investment opportunities, and they also offer informative educational programs presented by seasoned, recognized professionals and business people, providing a place for the sharing and exchange of business and technical experience. Monthly meetings are scheduled October through June each year. GCVF is also available to provide speakers to local organizations who want to learn more about the purpose of the GCVF and local investment opportunities.
