Local children will have their wishes granted thanks to the community support of the “FORE Wishes” golf tournament.
The inaugural “FORE Wishes” golf tournament was held to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida on October 21st at Quail West Country Club in Naples.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management and Quail West Country Club sponsored the event and raised funds to grant a wish to a local child. The day of golfing began with an 8:30 shotgun start and ended with a luncheon buffet prepared by the Club’s chef.
Brendan Duffy of BNY Mellon Wealth Management handed out the awards which included the winning team of the day. Overall winning team members for the tournament were Gary Ritter, Jay Cook, Ian Russell and Bob Schmollinger. They came in 11 under par with a score of 61.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Twenty-eight years of magic and more than 8,000 wishes later, the Foundation continues its mission to share the power of a wish® with ailing children.
