A local child will have their wish granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida thanks to the Tea at the Ritz.
A wonderful afternoon of conversation, fine teas and delicious delicacies were abundant at the Tea at the Ritz on Saturday, November 5th, 2011. The event, held at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida and was attended by some of Naples finest.
Members of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Collier County President’s Council, chaired by Sandra and Reg Buxton, along with the tea chairs, Jackie Stamerro, Kay Bork and Andrea St. Cyr, helped to organize the fundraiser. The purpose of the event was to raise awareness and fund a local child’s wish.
Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust was the sponsor for the Tea with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The amount raised from the afternoon event was $6472. Other contributors were Soderquist Photography, Kelly’s Kakes, Let’s Set A Date Co., Impressions, Naples Illustrated, Paradise Jewelers, and Tiffany & Company.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Twenty-eight years of magic and more than 8,000 wishes later, the Foundation continues its mission to share the power of a wish® with ailing children.
