At a the second annual FootPRINT awards luncheon, 19 non-profit organizations received grants for free printing and marketing services as part of Allegra of Naples’ Community Care program.

Local Collier County non-profit organizations will be spending less on printing and marketing services this year thanks to Allegra of Naples and their FootPRINT Fund.

Last year, Allegra granted $10,000 worth of printing and marketing services to 16 local agencies. This year, grants were increased to $12,000 in order to add more recipients. Each winning organization will receive a $500 or $1,000 grant to be used during the year of 2012.

Over 30 local organizations applied for the FootPRINT Fund and the winners were chosen according to need and overall budget. An independent judging panel, comprised of local business professionals, was created to select this year’s 19 winning organizations. The second annual FootPRINT Fund awards luncheon was held on December 6 at Sophia’s restaurant in Naples.

The 2012 Fund recipients are: Boys and Girls Club, Collier Child Care Resources, Inc., Collier Pregnancy Centers, Drug Free Collier (Substance Abuse Coalition), Freedom Waters Foundation, Guadalupe Center, Gulfshore Playhouse, Habitat for Humanity of Collier County, Jamaica Outreach Program, Inc., Junior Achievement, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Laces of Love Charitable Foundation, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Miracle Limbs, Naples Equestrian Challenge, Harry Chapin Food Bank/ Empty Bowls - Barron Collier High School, Parkinson Association, and Sunlight Home of Collier County, Inc. and the Wishing Well Foundation, Inc.

“We are very pleased with the response we have had from the program,” said Paul Kessen, President of Allegra. “We truly believe that the work our local non-profits do for the community is priceless. The FootPRINT Fund, along with The Posters With Purpose program, represents Allegra’s Community Care program for Collier County. We want to be part of the community and supporting our local non-profits is a very worthwhile cause.”

The Posters With Purpose program runs throughout the year and is unrelated to the FootPRINT Fund in respect to an application process. Allegra will print up to (50) 11X17 posters at no charge for any non-profit organization that simply makes a written request. Both programs are designed for Collier County non-profit organizations.
