The 2012 Celebrate Bonita Festival will be on March 31 at
Bonita Springs Riverside Park from 2 to 9 p.m.
the stage is set for a day of musical entertainment, children’s activities and community events!
Headlining the entertainment lineup is one of country music’s greatest legends, Grammy-award winning Tanya Tucker. Also taking the stage will be Casey Weston and local favorite Jay Frost and 100 Proof will perform highlights of their country and Southern rock hits.
Celebrate Bonita will feature a large kids’ activity area including bounce houses, a fun house, laser tag and much more. Community activities and booths will be set up throughout Riverside Park and the Artists’ Cottages at the Liles Hotel will be open. For the first time, the City of Bonita Springs Art in Public Places board will sponsor a competitive “street art” project for local student teams who will create art in designated areas as part of a fundraiser for “Art in the Sun Along Old 41.”
A traditional chili and rib backyard cook-off is also included in the day’s events and the winner of the annual “Sammy the Snook” contest will be announced.
Admission to Celebrate Bonita is free to the entire community. Food and beverages will be available for purchase with proceeds going to the Bonita Springs Assistance Office.
