A new study revealed that a woman’s cancer risk emerges to increase with her height. An analysis of 20,928 postmenopausal women indicated that the taller a woman is, the higher her risk for a number of cancers, including skin, colon and breast cancer among others.

According to the study, obese teens have more possibility to suffer hearing loss than their same age friends with normal weight. Researchers have also established that over weight adolescents endured hearing loss across all frequencies. They are twice as likely inclined to unilateral (one sided) low frequency hearing loss than peers of their age.
The study states that teen obesity is closely tied to sensorineural hearing loss across all frequencies. Sensorineural hearing loss is induced by harming the inner ear hair cells. At least 15 percent of overweight teens are prone to low frequency hearing loss as compared to just 7.89% of normal weight adolescents. Patients sustaining from low frequency hearing loss cannot hear sounds in frequencies of 2000 Hz or below. Normal hearing scope is 20 to 20,000 Hz.
Approximately 1500 teens between the ages of 12 to 19 were screened to infer that obesity is closely linked with hearing loss. Some of the facts that were taken into consideration to reach a conclusion were Family history, history of noise exposure, and current medical conditions.
Symptoms: • Listening to music, radio, or television louder than before • Avoiding social interaction due to hearing issues. Social situations may start to become stressful and influence self esteem resulting in depression. • Unable to distinguish words especially when there are noises in the background or when people are talking in a group. • Arduous in speaking over the phone. • Buzzing or ringing sound in the ear when there is no such sound in the environment. • Ear pain or infection
