It’s finally December, which means a few things to adults – time off work, the chance to indulge on food and alcohol (guilt-free), and a lot of expenses that no other month ever brings.

Yes, Christmas is a roller-coaster ride (or rather a sleigh-ride) through the different emotions because we’re happy to not be working but miserable because we have no money to enjoy our time off properly. So why not combine the festive fun of December within your working week? You’ll be making money and feeling Christmassy simultaneously!
1) Deck the Halls
You may be working towards a New Year Office fit out but that doesn’t mean you can’t make the most of your current décor and create a winter wonderland with what you have. Wrap some tinsel around the stairs, hang some sparkly things from the ceiling, or spray the windows with fake frost – do whatever it takes to make your day a little less like Scrooge’s counting house and a little more like Santa’s Grotto.
2) Oh, Christmas Tree
The tree is a big thing for many companies. Having the tree in the office is like having a best friend who keeps nudging you to say ‘it’s nearly Christmas time’ – it’s a constant reminder of what’s ahead and it gives hope to the bored and depressed employees of the world.
3) Mistletoe and Wine
Ah, the office romance – the thing that spends a year brewing before the inevitable drunken office Christmas party, Glass Partitioning London when the whole thing becomes painfully obvious . But why should romance be doomed to a drunken ‘mistake’ when it could be blossoming from the very start of December. Hang some mistletoe and give employees the chance to snag a sneaky smooch whenever they can.
Offices can be a much more pleasant environment come Christmas time, so make the most of the month and feel festive throughout December.
