DMVino host cheese and wine tasting at the winery at olney
Bowie, MD, June 06, 2014 /PressReleasePing/ - DMVino celebrates Maryland Wine Week by hosting cheese and wine tasting event at The Winery at Olney (Olney, MD) on June 19, 2014 from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm. "We are excited to host this event during Maryland Wine Week", said Ms. Sarita Cheaves, co-founder of DMVino. Maryland Wine Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Maryland wine. "We could not think of a better way to salute this fun week, than to host a cheese and wine tasting at a Maryland winery", Ms. Cheaves adds.
DMVino is Meetup.com group founded by Sarita Cheaves of VineMeUp, and Leslie Frelow of Vino 301 Wine Concierge. DMVino is a social wine tasting group consisting of 90 DMVinos, its members. The group meets monthly at different venues in the Washington Metropolitan area. DMVinos socialize while tasting and learning about wine.
"We selected The Winery at Olney because it is one of Maryland's newest wineries in a contemporary setting. We wanted to show that Maryland's wineries are as diverse as its wine", Ms. Leslie Frelow stated. The Winery at Olney is located in the Fair Hill Shopping Center 18127 Town Center Drive, Olney, MD.
DMVino is leading a virtual wine tasting during the event. DMVinos will tweet about the wine we taste that night. We encourage those who cannot join us to tweet, Facebook, or Instagram about their favorite wine during the event. Pour a glass of your favorite wine, preferably MD wine, tweet and repeat. Upload pictures of your wine or your favorite vineyard. Use #DMVino, #MDwine #MDwinemonth
June 13 – 23 is Maryland Wine Week. The "Maryland Wine Week is a celebration of Maryland wine, hard cider and mead produced by our 65+ wineries throughout Maryland," according to the Maryland Wine Association. The Maryland Wine Association, who founded Maryland Wine Week, says, "Maryland Wine Week is our chance to support the businesses that produce and pour local wine and spread the word about the great fermentations happening in Maryland."
