Author and physics teacher Ira Mark Egdall announces the results of his four-question "Einstein Survey".

HOLLYWOOD, FL, June 24, 2014 - Some 1200 respondents took the Einstein Survey. Over 50% indicated they know little or nothing about special and general relativity. Yet 85% said they were interested in a book which explains these theories in everyday language. And 75% said they knew friends who would be interested in reading such a book.

Egdall is the author of the new popular science book, Einstein Relatively Simple: Our Universe Revealed in Everyday Language, published by World Scientific Publishing. The book is written especially for those who always wanted to understand Einstein's ideas but never thought it possible. The survey was conducted to assess the state of science education in the United States and the need for such a book.

Egdall conducted the survey in three venues: 1) nationally in a brief nine-day Facebook ad campaign, 2) on Facebook to friends and family, and 3) in person dressed as Einstein at beaches, malls, and festivals in South Florida. Egdall concluded the survey on the streets of Princeton, NJ -- home of Albert Einstein in his later years.

A former aerospace program manager, Egdall has been working toward publication of his book for five years, while teaching lay courses in modern physics at OSHER Lifelong Learning Institutes at the University of Miami and Florida International University. In addition, he gives talks on the wonders of the universe at libraries, schools, and civic organizations often dressed as Albert Einstein.

Egdall is available for interviews and appearances. For booking presentations, media appearances, interviews, and/or book-signings, CONTACT: One Take Productions, Inc. 754 368 5206 or pr@gcl-us.com. Look for the book at your book store or Amazon.com
