The EPC World Awards showcase excellence in India Infrastructure & Construction Industry. The EPC World Award is especially proud to announce: Mr. P. Uma Shankar (IAS), Dr. Pramod Deo (IAS), Mr. R. S. Sharma (IAS), Mr. Sonmoni Boarah (IAS), Mr. Anuj Puri, Mr. S. K. Chaudhary, Mr. V. Sushi Shyamal, Mr. Ranjeet More and Mr. Tejasvi Sharma have all graciously agreed to serve on the 2014 EPC World Awards jury.

More Information about EPC World Awards 2014 Jury Members:

1) Mr. P. Uma Shankar (Former Power Secretary) Shri P. Uma Shankar is an intellectual holding Master's degree in Mathematics from IIT, Madras and a Master's degree in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from London School of Economics. He has 30 years leadership experience in Government spanning revenue, law and order, rural infrastructure, finance, housing & urban development, industries, municipal affairs and relief. He has also served as Power Secretary to the Govt. of India, C&MD, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited; MD, UP State Sugar Corporation; and MD, National Cooperative Development Corporation. At present Shri P.Uma Shankar is independent director on the boards of ONGC and Shipping Corporation of India.

2) Dr. Pramod Deo (Former Chairman, CERC)

Dr. Pramod Deo was chairman of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for five years. He has also worked as electricity regulator for 11 years, the longest period in India. 30 years of experience in the energy sector at policy, regulatory and project management levels has given his career distinguished path. Pramod Deo has also worked for two international institutions- UNEP Risoe Centre on Energy, Climate and Sustainable Development (URC), Denmark and Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. He has received World Wind Energy Association’s Award 2005.

3) Mr. R.S. Sharma, (Chairman - SW Asia Operations) Lloyd's Register Mr. R S Sharma is the ex chairman and Managing Director of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC). ONGC is India’s premier oil company. At the same time he was also the Chairman of ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) and five other ONGC Group companies. Mr. R S Sharma is an honorary figure of Institute of Directors (IOD), All India Management Association (AIMA) AND Project Management Association of India (PMA). At present he is working on various assignments and Boards position.

4) Mr. Sonmoni Borah (IAS), Commissioner Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Raipur Mr. Sonmoni Borah has done M.A. Honors (Political Science) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has worked as Collector and District Magistrate, Surguja, Janjgir Champa, Kabirdham, Raipur, Bilaspur. Also, worked as Municipal Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Raipur and Bilaspur. He has also been Registrar of Guru Ghasi Das University, Bilaspur and Registrar of Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science (CIMS) Medical College and Hospital Bilaspur. He was Chairman of Bhoramdev Shahkaari Shakkar Utapadak Kaarkhaana Maryadit (B.S.S.U.K.). He was also Director and Joint Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection Deptt.

5) Mr. Anuj Puri (Chairman & Country Head, India) Jones Lang LaSalle

Mr. Anuj Puri is Chairman & Country Head of JLL. JLL is the largest premier real estate services company in India. Mr. Anuj Puri is also an important member of the Asia Pacific leadership group of JLL, as well as Chairman of the Global Retail Leasing Board.

Two biggest real estate services are successfully merged by him i.e. JLL and erstwhile Trammel Crow Meghraj to create JLL, India. His 23 years experience helped him achieve expertise in planning, undertaking demand assessment studies and transactional services including marketing strategies based on technical real estate market analysis.

6) Mr. S. K. Chaudhary, Director (Projects) NBCC

Mr. S. K. Chaudhary is a Civil Engineering Graduate from Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and a Masters in Management from IIT, Delhi. He is best at Project Financing and Business Development. He was Senior Executive Director at HUDCO. Since last 31 years he is on the post of Director (Projects) of NBCC.

7) Mr. V. Sushi Shyamal Partner - Transaction Advisory Services Ernst & Young Pvt. Ltd. Mr. V. Sushi Shyamal has served in the various sectors like highway, ports, railway, and aviation; unban infrastructure and construction sectors encompassing the following product solutions: Provided finance to infrastructure construction companies. Given required advised and played an important role on some of the marquee M&A transactions. Raised Private Equity Capital for multiple infrastructure conglomerates having presence in Highways, Ports and other Urban Infrastructure sectors. Entry strategies to foreign players, international concessionaires and Indian conglomerates for entry into the Indian infrastructure sector. Bid Process Management and fund syndication to private participants and foreign players for several National Highway and State Highway projects. Providing advice and sector insights on an ongoing basis to multiple Infrastructure Funds and Private Equity Investors. Worked as consultant to government and regulatory bodies on upcoming projects. Guided many cross-border acquisitions advising Indian players for entry into foreign markets.

8) Mr. Ranjeet More Ex Vice President, Builders Association of India-BAI

Vice Chairman, Universal Construction Machinery & Equipment Ltd. Mr. Ranjeet R. More is the Vice Chairman of the Universal Construction Machinery & Equipment Ltd. and Ex Vice President of the Builders Association of India - BAI. Some of his industry assignments in progress are: Develop rural India and improve the standard of living in rural areas. Formulating 10,000 young entrepreneurs in the field of construction activity under the 12th Five year plan Tree plantation at various projects and plants Power generation for manufacturing plants through alternate source (solar) Conserving water resource through rain-water harvesting projects and water treatment plant Develop the alternative building material and construction process to enhance the speed and economy of construction activity
