Blood Shed Motors has combined legendary American muscle cars of the '60s with state-of-the-art electric dragster power to produce the only Electric Super Muscle Cars ever created.

Austin, TX, July 29, 2014 - Bloodshed Motors ( http://bit.ly/1rMcuee ) has put a new twist on the decades-old concept of the American Muscle car. Partnering with John Wayland who is the owner and builder of the legendary White Zombie, the world's quickest electric street car, the company is infusing an even more powerful version of the "Zombie" drive train into the most iconic American muscle cars.

"Traditionally, people have taken vintage muscle cars and made them faster by packing in bigger engines with superchargers, turbo chargers or even nitrous," tells Mitch Medford, CEO of Blood Shed Motors. "But we're doing something radically different. We're taking the performance of these cars to a level that has not been seen before with a completely different technology."

Indeed, the Zombie 222's performance specs border on the fantastic. The company's first car is a 1968 Mustang Fastback and produces over 750 HP but more shockingly has over 1800 lb-ft of torque. This is made possible by powering two 11 inch electric motors with a lithium battery pack containing more than a megawatt of energy. "My White Zombie holds the 'Pro Street' class NEDRA record 1/4 mile ET of 10.258 seconds @ 123.79 mph, with 0-60 vaporized in just 1.8 seconds!" says John Wayland, owner/builder of the 1972 Datsun White Zombie.

The Zombie 222 has been designed to cruise over a 125 miles on a charged battery pack, but also run the 1/4 mile in the 10 second window.

Bloodshed Motors will put the Zombie 222 package in a numbered series of fully restored classic muscle cars, including Ford Mustangs, Chevy Camaros and Corvettes, Plymouth Barracudas, Pontiac GTOs, Dodge Chargers, and other high-performance classics – limited to 21 cars per model. The unspoken goal is show the world that electric power is the next evolution for putting more muscle into muscle car. These "super" cars will perform at car shows, drag strips, or traffic lights. The company launched a crowdfunding campaign at http://bit.ly/UHNCpn , and it is offering memberships to a "virtual design team." For prescribed levels of funding, Bloodshed will give members access to inside information, a private forum, conference calls and an opportunity to get their name on the builders plate.
