Deerfield, IL, December 26, 2014 - Chicago's martial arts Sifu Richard Baron received another present for Christmas in his new TV reality series "The Sifu: Kung Fu Redemption". Dr. Joseph Orgel from Argonne National Lab commented in the extraordinary health benefits observed by two of the participants of the TV series thanks to practicing Kung Fu under the mentoring of Sifu Baron.

"The Sifu: Kung Fu Redemption" is a new TV reality series working in the recording of its second episode after two successful crowdfunding campaigns. The series made TV crowdfunding history on Dec 24th 2015 by reaching its campaign funding goal in less than 24 hours at the new crowdfunding platform CrowdedReality. The creator, and one of the main characters in the show, Sifu Richard Baron, had already archived crowdfunding recognition and viewer support for the new series by fulfilling the funding goal of a first crowdfunding campaign to film the pilot of the show in the popular Kickstarter portal in Nov 2014.

Now, while completing the recording of the first episode of the series and preparing the work for the second, Sifu Baron was surprised by the health results observed by two of the student participants in the show. Two men took on the challenge of ten days intensive Kung Fu training and ancient Chinese health practices and they reported amazing results in their sense of health and well-being. In the case of one man it may be a lot more than a sense. With a history of diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke, his blood sugar levels and blood pressure lowered towards normal within seven days without any change in diet or medication. His blood pressure taken shortly after the exercises (which take several minutes to perform) were found to be more then 20mmHg lower on several occasions.

Some of the Kung Fu training experienced by the two men in the TV series included the exercises called "Eight Section Brocade", a Chinese qigong technique that has existed for centuries combining a form of touch therapy, with meditative breathing. These exercises are strongly believed to lead to significant benefits for circulation, organ function, cell health, hormonal balance and therefore, 'youthful' energies and health.

Dr. Joseph Orgel, an Associate Professor of Biology, Physics and Biomedical Engineering and Associate Director of BioCAT/APS at Argonne National Lab-ITT, commented: "The results of the self-testing performed by the guest-stars of 'The Sifu: Kung Fu Redemption' strongly supports these claims and suggests a need to explore how these practices could benefit many more people in poor or already in excellent health. Beyond the immediate and short term physical health benefits, the body awareness, sense of wellness and empowerment that comes from taking charge of one's own health in such a powerful and personal way might be immeasurable."

Now that the new series is clearly supported by the public and that it is well known at an international scale thanks to their two successful crowdfunding campaigns, Sifu Richard Baron is ready to push his TV series to broadcasting TV stations around the world. "We are in early negotiations with various parties interested on the show in the USA but we have not been approached by broadcasters overseas yet. Given the social acceptance and popularity of our successful crowdfunding campaigns, we are actively open to be contacted by TV stations from around the world so our series can benefit more viewers."
