National Black Evangelical Association (NBEA) Seeks Financial Support to Offer Free Admission to the 2015 NBEA Chicago Convention

1888 Press Release - To ensure everyone who would like to attend The National Black Evangelical Association's 2015 convention is able to regardless of their financial situation, NBEA announced that the four day event will be offered at no-charge to attendees.

To execute this unprecedented action, this nonprofit 501(c)3 organization is seeking sponsorship and assistance from the community in order to cover the $30,000 needed to hold the convention.

"Since its inception in 1963, the NBEA ministry has focused on reaching and empowering people of African descent by advocating biblical and cultural integrity and opening our doors to all to experience the power of Christ," explained NBEA President and Chicago-based minister Rev. Dr. Walter Arthur McCray. "We have made the 2015 NBEA Chicago Convention open to all free of charge so that people can attend without being concerned about the cost, enabling attendees to instead focus on the message and experience."

The NBEA 2015 gathering, themed "Cush Cries Out! Christ Answers!" will be held April 22-25, 2015 at the Hilton Oak Lawn Hotel (94th & Cicero), and will feature:

• 12 general sessions with powerful local, national and international speakers • 19 exciting educational workshops and learning events • Fellowship with believers of African descent from different denominations and with other non-black allies in the ministry • Exposure to a wide range of black Christian issues and topics • Christian contemporary and jazz music • An intergenerational banquet for "Young Adults & The Elders" • African-descended evangelical affirmations and actions

The convention will feature a wide-array of topics for different interests and age groups. Some of the topics include: • Theology • Culture • Identity • Ministry to the hungry, homeless and addicted • Prayer • Evangelism • Missions • Church transformation • Unity • Reconciliation • Black male violence • Physical and mental health • HIV/AIDs • Ebola • Black history research • Hip-Hop/Millennial generations • Racial politics • Faith • Intergenerational ministry

NBEA expects many individuals, churches, and community organizations will take full advantage of this free-to-the-public opportunity. They especially encourage all believers of African descent to join and benefit from this gathering. To learn more or register for the event, visit www.The-NBEA.Org.
