VMware Professionals to See First-hand How File Sync and Share Solution Enables Fast and Easy Organization, Sharing and Collaboration, While Eliminating Public Cloud Privacy, Security and Control Risks
SANTA CLARA, CA, May 12, 2015 - Connected Data® today announced it will showcase its Transporter private cloud appliance at the upcoming VMUG User Conference (UserCon), taking place on Tuesday, May 12 from 8:30 a.m. 6:00 p.m. at The Convention Center at the Valley Forge Casino Resort, King of Prussia, PA.
During the full-day education and peer-networking event designed to improve skills and advance careers, VMware professionals will see first-hand how the Transporter file sync and share solution enables fast and easy organization, sharing and collaboration, while eliminating the otherwise unavoidable privacy, security and control risks that accompany a public cloud data storage solution.
"Public cloud file sync and share services have long been criticized for their inherent risks. Connected Data's Transporter returns control of enterprise data back to the business organization as all of the data is maintained and managed behind the corporate firewall," said Tony Hampel, Senior Director of Product Marketing, Connected Data. "This key differentiator enables VMware administrators to reign-in 'rogue' users and reestablish adherence to internal data governance and external regulations. Moreover, the Transporter's ease-of-use, flexibility in how users organize their own data, ability to access files from mobile devices, and sync data from home or on the road, actually naturally fosters a culture of internal compliance and adoption. It also doesn't hurt that it costs dramatically less than any public cloud service which some individual business users are actually paying for themselves, out-of-pocket."
