You don't want to go with rocks like lava rock. There are several reasons for this. One is that you don't want colored rock as the basis for your driveway. It will make the driveway turn out wrong. This is because part of the reason people like lava rock is because it has a nice color to it and you won't see this if you use it as driveway gravel so why pay for it.
