Pegboard or metal gridding provides a place to hang items so they are visible and readily accessible. If the ceilings are high in your storage area, you can hang little used items overhead.

Your small ranch house plans might be the perfect size for living in, but not great for other things. Depending on the size of your property, you can add a shed. There is a huge variety of sheds you can purchase to match the style of your home. Many of these can be easily erected by two or three people, or the store you bought it from can install it for you. Sheds are ideal for getting tools out of the garage or storing seasonal items. If your property is too small to add a shed, you can consider renting a storage space near your home for rarely used items. Most of these places are guarded to protect your goods, but you should check with your insurance agents to make sure items stored there are covered in case of theft or damage.
