I've been wanting to eat here for months & finally made the trip out there! The service was horrible & the food was far from good. the sides (baked beans, beans & rice, & he plaintains ranged from generic to o.k.) the Yucca was pretty good. Our waitress mumbled & made no eye contact, & NEVER came back to see how our meal was... if she's shy, she's in the wrong line of work but came off as she could care less. When we told her that the brisket was pure fat & inedible (after we flagged her down)... she said 'oh' and walked away, never offered anything else or even a 'sorry you didn't like it' My ribs were overdone & smothered in sauce... I ordered a half rack & did not finish. Rather than have the brisket (that wasn't touched) taken off the tab, they offered a %10 discount.... so they obviously don't care for making a customer happy, instead I got a lecture that their brisket was the way it is meant to be & everyone loves it. I found that hard to believe & the fact the place was empty at lunch time goes to show their brisket, their service & their food in general really isn't 'packing them in' I bet it lasts less than a year. I went in in a great mood with high expectations & left disappointed with horrible food, barely-there service & a manager who could care less... I love brisket & have been to BBQ cook-offs featuring great brisket, the fact they lectured me on how brisket should be after serving me what they did is nothing short of funny.
