Clinic Announces Discounted Spay Neuter Rates in Honor of National Mutt Day
Naples, FL - Calling all mutts. Purebreds need not reply!
Wednesday, December 2nd, marks National Mutt Day. It is about embracing and celebrating mixed breed dogs. Mutts, as they are affectionately referred to, make up the largest percentage of dogs euthanized in shelters each year. In recognition of National Mutt Day, the Collier Spay Neuter Clinic (CSNC) is offering $5.00 off its already affordable cost to spay or neuter your mixed breed dog. On this day, male dogs can be neutered for $60, and females spayed for $70. Dogs without proof of a current rabies vaccination will be vaccinated at an additional cost of $15 per animal. Other services are available for animals with scheduled sterilization appointments. CSNC is Southwest Florida's first high quality, high volume, affordable spay and neuter clinic. Services are available to all residents of SW Florida. The clinic, which opened its doors on August 10th, has already sterilized more than 1,000 animals. Executive Director Pallas Diaz states, "At CSNC, our vision is a community where no companion animal is killed simply for being homeless. By providing this special discount day in celebration of the Nation's most popular dog, the mutt, we will prevent more unnecessary deaths of these dogs by preventing the births of their unwanted litters." Diaz urges those interested in taking advantage of this discount, should call for an appointment as soon as possible, as spaces will fill up quickly.
