Eco-Center seeks new volunteers
Jan. 12 2011
The Naples Preserve, 1690 Tamiami Trail North (at the corner of Fleischmann Blvd.), is seeking volunteers for the position of Greeter in its Eco-Center. Greeters inform visitors about the Preserve and distribute brochures about recreational opportunities at other natural areas in Collier County, including city, county, state, and national properties, as well as non-profit locations. The Eco-Center is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday thru Saturday. Shifts generally run three hours, are indoors at a desk, are not physically strenuous, and move at a leisurely pace. Greeters may bring to their shift a book, a wireless laptop computer, or other such past time project to work on between visitors. Greeter training will take place Wednesday, January 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Please contact Jill by Tuesday, January 11, to reserve a seat at the training by calling (239) 213-3026.
