On two Friday nights in July, Shula’s Steak House will be hosting free and open to the public Celebrity Bartender Nights in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Say ‘CHEERS’ and help make wishes come true for local children by attending two great nights of celebrity bartending, Friday- July 15 and Friday- July 29, both are from 5-7 PM at Shula’s Steak House located in the Hilton Hotel in Naples.

Come out and cheer on your favorite bartender and help them raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida. Tony Marino of the Marino Group and former Miami Dolphin player, Charlie Babb, will be mixing up drinks and conversation to bring in big tips. All of the bartender gratuities (100%) will be donated to the cause.

“The ‘Celebrity Bartender Night’ events are free and no reservation is needed to attend, just bring your friends to help make this night a success. Drinks will be half-price and we are encouraging everyone to tip heavily as all the tips will be donated back to Make-A-Wish Foundation. We are hoping to raise enough money to grant one wish between the two nights. Shula’s is proud to host these events -- it’s all to promote community awareness while having fun and hopefully to make a Wish come true,” said Tom Donahue, General Manager of Shula’s Steak House.

The celebrity bartender for July 15 is Tony Marino, who is a newly appointed member of the Collier President’s Council for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and is the owner of The Marino Group. He is anxious to help raise the funds needed for local children to receive their heartfelt wishes. Mr. Marino has attended his volunteer orientation and will be taking wish granting training in August. He will then be involved in the entire process of The Make-A-Wish Foundation’s mission.

Celebrity bartender for July 29 will be Charlie Babb, former safety for the Miami Dolphins who played from 1972 to 1979. Both of Babb’s parents were deaf, making for an interesting home life for him as a child. He understands how medical conditions affect the entire family and is pleased to be supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation by participating in this special event.

The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for these events and is promoting within their membership to attend.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Twenty-eight years of magic and more than 8,000 wishes later, the Foundation continues its mission to share the power of a wish® with ailing children.
