Hello friends this is something that I find very interesting and so I share it with you hopefully will be useful to you or maybe someone they know and want to. I particularly am going to try a breeding ground for tilapia when I get the results I will share them.
What is aquaponics system?
The Aquaponics system is an integrated aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (growing plants without soil) system that mutually benefits both environments. This process is associated with the planting of vegetables in containers with water. Hydroponic model involved the use of large amounts of chemicals and fertilizers to promote growth, so that the product was not 100% natural. However, the use of fertilizers and harmful chemicals are not required to configure at home an organic aquaponics system.
Fish waste is absorbed by vegetation that is used as a nutrient solution for plants growing, cultivating a wonderful condition to grow. The only external input to the system is the food for fish. Both systems complement in practice interdependence. So essentially, if you have fish happy and contented, you have an amazing system that will produce fresh food for you throughout the year.
The following video (in English) shows the farmer Will Allen of Growing Power aquaponics has taken to the extreme; they can produce 1 million pounds of food annually in just 3 acres, only through the use aquaponics.
What are the benefits of aquaponics system?

The roots of the plants are always in water rich in nutrients and no overcrowding. – No more weeding. The system eliminates the need for weeding and removing debris. You get more freedom and enjoyment. – No more pests in the soil. The aquaponics system uses only 2% of water produced by the garden. Because the water circulation runs continuously and there is no absorption by soil. The roots of the plants are constantly submerged in water rich in nutrients and you never have to worry about watering your plants again. Helps save water and cost savings. – Multiple sources of income. When testing this system will know the amount of plants that can occur and you may need and choose to share, donate or sell. For example, lettuce, lasting 60 days or more to mature, it only takes about 29 days with this system. – Use up to 70% less energy than conventional gardening.
