Once again health Canada has decided to withhold a decision about shall it give nod to the abortion drug called Mifepristone also known as RU486, which had been recommended to get permission for distribution in the Canada one month back.

18th May 2015, United States (http://www.abortionpillrx.com/): Once again health Canada has decided to withhold a decision about shall it give nod to the abortion drug called Mifepristone, which had been recommended to get permission for distribution in the Canada one month back. The Health agency was also busy in the discussion about an application that was sent for approval regarding RU-486, from 2012. Abortion pill online was introduced in the 80s and it is recommended to terminate early pregnancy. It functions by affecting the properties of hormone called progesterone and causes genuine abortion. Progesterone plays crucial role in the continuation of pregnancy. It is interesting to know that World Health Organization has recognized and classified this drug as ‘essential medication’. Mifepristone has been granted permission to be sold in almost 60 nations including the United States. In the case of Canada, physicians, pharmacists and experts are of the opinion that it is quite difficult to say yes to this drug because women living in the villages usually cannot opt surgical abortions. "I am definitely sure about reliability of Mifepristone and its efficacy in terms of inducing abortion and it is certainly less complicated and risky for women who are not willing to continue an unplanned pregnancy," Dr. Wendy Norman, stated in an interview. This drug received nod from the U.S. in the year of 2000 but there were many news of critical bacterial infections and some rare incidences of fatal septic shock. Moreover clinical examination conducted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration explained there is no sensible cause and effect relationship between the events and consequence of a drug.

Study done by the FDA elucidated that most common after-effects of mifepristone are stomach ache, abdominal cramps, nausea, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and fatigue. Despite this, people who belong to anti-abortion groups express content that it’s really good to know such drug has not yet secured its entry in Canada and proclaimed time based campaign to deny permission to be sold in the Canada market. "I feel that Health Canada has consumed long time to declare its stand about an approval, it might have possible and quite understandable because of great controversy spurred by the drug, it is a dangerous drug intended to kill," stressed Alissa Golob, a spokeswoman of Campaign Life Coalition. "I hope in positive sense that we have contributed to change the mind of Health Canada before arriving at conclusion. Off course it shall be prohibited, she added further.

But Vicki Saporta, who is a president of the National Abortion Federation Canada, said procrastination in the decision is just compelling women are in urgent need to find strong substitute for abortion if drug is not accessible to them. "We have deployed secret agents to our member clinics and said they have bought RU-486 under an impression of Mifepristone” Saporta said. “It didn’t help them in any way in fact they had to go for aspiration abortion only." But still I am very positive about a judgment day that Health Canada will allow mifepristone and soon made available for the well being of Canadian.
