The Boatshed was set up with one and only one aim – helping people in becoming adept at managing a yacht and helping them discover the many wonders that sailing the ocean has to offer. Ever since its inception, this training center has emerged as one of the most elite and most coveted places for the people of Melbourne to learn how to sail and enjoy this activity in the best possible manner.
“Yachting Victoria's Training center was originally established in 2008, with the aim of providing the most economical means possible for anyone who might like to have a go at sailing. Through the safe and controlled waters of Albert Park Lake, we are able to service groups at any time of the year. It introduces between 3500 to 4500 people to sailing via schools, Universities, Corporate Groups, community groups and individual courses and camps. Instruction is by qualified Instructors with many years of dinghy sailing and teaching experience. The School is equipped with 12 Pacers and 30 Opti's Dinghies, inflatable coaching and safety crafts with motor, personal floatation devices (PFD's), safety equipment, training equipment. Early in the course students will learn water safety, and will be confidently sailing small boats in a relaxed informal atmosphere whilst under careful supervision in a group sailing situation.” explains the owner of The Boatshed and the website TheBoatShed.net.au.
These secondary school sailing courses in Melbourne have been designed in line with Yachting Australia Guidelines for both beginner and advanced sailors. Just get in touch with the Center’s representatives for details about how to enroll.
