(1888 PressRelease) The Nova Scotia wilderness resort has scored 3 stars from the acclaimed travel guide.

Trout Point Lodge is pleased to announce it has earned the highest rating, 3 stars, from Frommer's Guide. "The Trout Point Lodge has won accolades from every major reviewer form the New York Times to National Geographic Traveler," explains the guide text. "We're adding our voice to the chorus of approval."

The rating and reviews was given based on an anonymous and independent assessment of the Lodge. "We are greatly honoured by the three stars and especially the wonderful comments. We had no idea this was coming," said chef/proprietor Vaughan Perret.

Only a handful of properties in the province earned the top rating. After describing Trout Point's accommodation facilities and recreational opportunities, the review focuses on dining: "After a day of activity (and before one), guests are coddled by truly fine dining-Trout Point's cooking team of Vaughan Perret and Charles Leary bring a distinctly Cajun approach to local and foraged Nova Scotia delicacies. Their careers saw stops in Louisiana, Costa Rica, and Spain so they bring to the wilderness and extremely sophisticated sensibility.

The review already appears online at the Frommer's web site, and will be published in Frommer's EasyGuide to Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick by Darcy Rhyno, to be released in April, 2016. "We employ the best local experts to author our guides, like Darcy Rhyno, a seasoned journalist born into a Nova Scotia fishing family, who has been traveling through the Maritimes since he was a small child and built his career writing in and about Atlantic Canada," notes the web site.

"A memorable vacation experience" concludes the review.
