Project Help, Inc. (PHI) is a non-profit organization of professional counselors and advocates, committed to providing hope, empowerment and healing to those affected by sexual violence, sudden death and other crimes. Along with counseling and advocacy services, Project Help, Inc. serves our community by providing a 24-Hour Crisis & Referral Hotline (239-262-7227).

PHI employs 10 employees made up of peer-to-peer counselors, as well as master-level mental health counselors who are all state-certified advocates. In addition to employees, many volunteers and our very active Board of Directors are committed to making Project HELP, Inc. successful. We love our jobs, and we love helping those in need.

PHI is the only state-certified Sexual Assault Crisis Center in Collier County. We are also the only agency working with the Collier County Medical Examiner’s Office to quickly identify families and children that are affected by sudden death. Project HELP, Inc. has been providing counseling and advocacy to individuals affected by sexual violence and sudden death since 1986.

Our referral sources include the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Medical Examiner’s Office, State Attorney’s Office, Family Preservation, Department of Children and Families, Children’s Advocacy Center, Naples Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, the Shelter for Abused Women and Children, schools, hospitals, and our 24-hour Crisis & Referral Hotline.

Our counseling services are multifaceted. Counselors work with clients on a mostly individual basis, but also provide family and couples’ counseling. This allows our clients flexibility, and extends our services to help those in the lives of our clients. Group counseling is another method we use, with co-counselors working with 8-10 clients at a time who are dealing with similar issues.

PHI is located at 3123 Terrace Avenue near the intersection of Airport & Davis. We moved into this facility in July of 2010 with a great reduction in building costs. In addition, our facility allows us to bring our pets to work, which has opened up the field of Pet Therapy, something our clients of all ages enjoy. Our work space has also given us the opportunity to use PHI for continuing education trainings and presentations to benefit PHI counselors and volunteers, as well as organizations in the community, including the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and foster parents. In association with the PHI office, PHI also shares space at the State Attorney’s Office (SAO) in the Collier Government Center.
