We've been approved (after six months of anxiously waiting!)
To use Google Friend Connect here on naplesplus, look to your left and see the section "Google members". From there, you can easily join Friend Connect and you don't even have to set up a new profile! You can use your profile from Orkut or Plaxo or your Google profile (do you have a Google profile? You really really should!)
From there, you can invite your friends from various social networks, such as Google, Plaxo, Orkut, or Myspace, Facebook, del.icio.us, Digg, Fark, StumbleUpon, Live Spaces and Mixx!!
As of right now, you can add sitewide comments (I'm keeping it simple.... for now... ) and see members of the site there, and from your Google Friend Connect profile, you can manage your friends, add pictures, links to your favorite sites (including your other social networking profiles), add RSS feeds.... Soon, it will be THE place to have a profile - the social network that goes beyond all other social networks!
The closest attempt to this has been MyBlogLog, but Google Friend Connect goes way furthur. The future is bright.
