1) Go to: http://opensocialdirectory.org/wiki/Main_Page
2) Find the application you want.
3) Click "Code".
4) Copy the URL of the code that shows up in your browser (it'll have the extension .XML)
5) Go to http://google.com/friendconnect and click on "Social Gadgets"
6) Click on "Setup Custom Gadget"
7) In the field for 1) Options "Gadget URL", paste the URL
8) Pick your width and Generate the code and put it in your website.
9) You're done! Less than 10 steps and you have the power of OpenSocial Apps!
