Collier Spay Neuter Clinic Reaches Fundraising Goal!
Collier Spay Neuter Clinic, (CSNC) a Naples non-profit animal welfare organization, has successfully reached its fundraising goal of $120,000 in just one year. Funds will support efforts to open a high quality, high volume, low cost spay and neuter clinic in Naples that will benefit all of the Southwest Florida Community.
CSNC have applied for their building permits to renovate their leased facility and hope to begin construction very soon. A local contracting firm, Sierra Construction, will oversee the "build out" and will be donating some of the necessary building supplies as well as offsetting labor costs by volunteering some of their own time. The clinic will open as soon as renovations are complete. The address for the clinic is 2544 Northbrooke Plaza Dr. Naples.
CSNC will have the capacity to perform a minimum of 25 sterilization surgeries per day, with a goal of 7500 spay/neuter surgeries for their first year. The average cost for the public will be around $60/ pet.The clinic will provide additional discounts to local Shelters and Rescue groups to assist in the community wide collaboration of ending the unnecessary euthanasia of homeless pets.
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation awarded CSNC a special $50,000 grant in honor of Catherine MacArthur. The Clinic's goals were of strong interest to the MacArthurs, the Foundation’s founders, and also to Catherine's great niece, Kelly Hyland Fox, a full-time Naples resident and an avid supporter and volunteer of Collier Spay Neuter Clinic.
Additional funding came from an equipment grant from PetSmart Charities in the amount of $56,545 and public and private donations.
