The U.S had recorded lowest figures of pregnancy termination until now, finds the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in its second report, which was presented only a few weeks ago

The U.S had recorded lowest figures of pregnancy termination until now, finds the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in its second report, which was presented only a few weeks ago.. The number of pregnancy ending carried out in the year of 2012 was lesser than half of the same done in 1980’s. The facts reveal that though laws have been liberalized for reproductive care, lesser women buy abortion pill or choose surgery to get over with pregnancy. Another report released last week focused on pregnancy termination rates among females in the U.S. for the year of 2010, which was lower by one-third against the figures recorded for 1990. The number of termination of fetuses was 1.1 million in 2010 that declined from 1.6 million marks seen in 1990. Also, there was less number of women who got pregnant from 1986. The rate of embryo eviction in U.S. was at a new low in 2010, with only 17.7 procedures done per every 1,000 females of childbearing age between 15 and 44. In 1980, more than 29.5 terminations of pregnancy were done per every 1,000 females of the childbearing age. The rate however went up in 2010, but again dropped by five percent between 2010 and 2011. Though now females can get abortion pill online, the ease of accessibility has not encouraged pregnancy terminations. The total number declined by 13 percent, while rate decreased by 14 percent, and ratio dropped by 12 percent. But, it was in 2011 that all these three measures amounted at their lowest level from 2002-2011 analysis. The overall rate of pregnancy endings are on decline, it is true even amidst the racial classes. For example, the pregnancy ending for Caucasian-Americans were 9.8 per every 1,000 women between 15 and 44, in 2010. But, the rates fell greatly, as in 1990. The same was 19.7 terminations per every 1,000 females of relative age. Among Hispanic-Americans, there was a 15-point drop in pregnancy endings between 1990 and 2010. The Latinas in 2010 showed 20.3 terminations amidst every 1,000 females of 15- 44 age group. But, in 1990, the figures were 35.1 per every 1,000 females. The African-Americans have comparatively higher rate to abortion, but this too is on decline. In African-American females, the rate of pregnancy ending per 1,000 of childbearing age was 47.7 in 2010, while the rates plunged by at least 20 per 1,000 females from the comparative figures of the 1990. The report depicted that pregnancy ending rates for females below 30 years of age has been considerably falling from 1990’s. The figures may have deceased probably because of lesser rate of terminations among 15 to 19 years aged females, which dwindled by half from 1990. In 1990, 77.1 pregnancies occurred in 1,000 girls of 15 to 17 years of age, and for girls between 18 and 19 years, the figures were 167.7. But, in 2010 for 1,000 women, there were 32.2 pregnancies only and the number was 96.8 for 18 to 19 year old females. The senior policy adviser, Cheryl Sullenger of pro-life community, Operation Rescue said that she hopes the pregnancy termination figures to keep lessening, as more data comes in. Improvements in decline of pregnancy endings are expected when information on statistics for 2012 and 2013 arrive. Pro-lifers are expecting a dramatic decrease for abortion numbers around the nation. From this duration, the pro-life legislation took advancement given conservative gains in year of 2010 midterm elections got into effect. The pro-choice folks obviously are not against the report results, as they think pregnancy terminations must be a free choice of women and not a forced upon act.
