Never Alone!

"Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married." Isaiah 62:4

Forsaken and desolate, these two terms go hand in hand. When something or someone is forsaken it won't be too long before it becomes desolate. Desolate means waisted or empty of inhabitants or people, it means afflicted, ravished, and deserted. Jesus knows what happens when we are forsaken, or when we forsake others, waisted moves in, emptiness fills the gaps, and lives become desolate. Jesus has promised to never leave us nor forsake us," for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5 We are founded upon a rock, that rock is Jesus and Jesus will never forsake us, never will we be alone. We might have affliction, storms might come into our life and descend upon us, the winds might blow and beat us down, but we will never be left alone. Jesus is always there for us and because we are not forsaken we can never become desolate. Nothing about your life is waisted, he has not left you, he will never forsake you, and whatever is happening in your life will pass and he will be there to lift you up!

Jesus delights in you! He has a great plan for your life and even though times are tough he is with you through it all and is faithful to complete that work in which he has started in you!

Friends Forever!

05:12 am ~ Salt

May 16, 2011

"Out ye not to know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David forever, even to him and to his sons by covenant of salt? 2Chronicles 13:5

Sharing salt together was a way in which it symbolized the agreement of a friendship forever. Salt is used as a preservative and the idea is that salt will preserve a friendship forever. It could never be changed once this took place. When God makes covenant with us he will never change it, he will never leave us nor forsake us. This friendship is forever! Nothing you can do will cause God to break this covenant with you! Numbers 18:19 reads, " All the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the Lord, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute forever: it is a covenant of salt forever before the Lord unto thee and to thy seed with thee." This friendship is forever! Jesus is your friend forever! It is a promise, a gaurantee that is solidified by salt a preservative that will last forever! This statute is forever, an enactment of law by God! Wow! that's powerful! What friend is there that will lay down his life for us and then make it law? Making it permanant and forever? No greater love hath any man than this that he lay down his life for his friend! Jesus is amazing!

A binding agreement from the King of Kings unto us, bound together and preserved by salt, the ancient ways of life, not to be forgotten, but are still in place today. Jesus makes this relevent because he is the same yesterday, today, and forever! Forever we are tied in friendship with him and this friendship is solid and firm, unshakable, unmovable, and ever lasting!

The Arm of The Lord!

12:08 pm ~ Faith

www.souls-for-christ.com

May 15, 2011

"Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Isaiah 53:1

The arm of the Lord is the power of God and when you have seen it you will know there is none like him. Our God is Mighty to Save! God is able no matter what you are going through, he can save you. It is his ultimate desire that we are saved! He knows everything about you, he knows your weaknesses and your strengths, he knows them so well that he has made a plan for them, and is using them right now to accomplish his kingdom plan. If you are weak in an area, then Jesus becomes your strength and he takes your weakness and causes you to rely on him while he works the conversion from weakness to strength. God is working on both you and I constantly to perfect us into our life as his royal priesthood. He doesn't merely suggest that he is good and that he works, he shows us each day. He doesn't merely suggest that he will complete the work that he started in you, he actively pursues and completes this work a little here and a little there each day! God is not a pretender or an imagination he is real and his power is real. He doesn't play with our hearts and minds, he is true and very sincere in his planning and this is why we don't imagine that Jesus came to save us, we know it, we know it because his actions on the cross showed us live and in person with many witnesses to agree that he died to save our souls! There is no one like Jesus ever! He is the absolute, he doesn't take us to the edge and pull back, he takes us all the way to the promised land. No turning back! That is the power of God! His arm that is able to save! Able to give to you your new life! God is ABLE!

The arm of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save, it is not numb thereby restricting him from creating a new life! God created the heaven and the earth in six days, but he never stopped creating saying that he is done, His arm is at work 24/7 to crate a continuous revealing of beauty in our lifetime! Who can believe our Report? To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed, they shall not go to the edge and turn back because they see his power!

NO GREATER LOVE!

12:46 pm ~ Love

May 12, 2011

"Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Many people have heard about what God has done for them. In John 3:16 it reads," For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Many have heard this, but have not taken time to meditate on what this means. It means love. God's great love has been sent to us and it has been poured out for us. It is the greatest love that could ever be given and God has set this love as a banner over our life. How great is our God? That He would give to us His only begotten son and that His son would give His life to save his friends. Do you know that you are his friend? Jesus is your friend! He is this constant banner of love that flies above your life everyday. This banner of love is a reminder to us that in that midnight hour of our fear, when we may not feel Him standing near, we can lift our eyes above, and see this banner of love! Jesus loves you! Are you going through hard times today? Lift your head high, God loves you! Are you worried about the future? Lift your head high and remember, God loves you! He will never leave you, nor forsake you.

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38,39 God's banner flies high everyday above our life, just look up and give Him praise!

Happy Mother's Day!

12:25 pm ~ Comfort

www.souls-for-christ.com

May 8, 2011

"As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. And when ye see this your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like a herb:" Isaiah 66:13, 14a

How many know that one of the best times in life is when you're mother is with you? A mother brings joy and comfort, she consoles us when we hurt and a mother is a deep well of wisdom that counsels us when we are confused. How invaluable is our mother? As a mother comforts her children, Jesus will comfort us. 2Corinthians 1:4 reads, "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." As children when we fall and scrape our knee our mother is there to hold us while we cry, our mother is their when we are in pain, she wraps her heart around our heart and cries with us and encourages us to keep going, to get back on the bicycle and ride. Our mother counsels us at the fork in the road about which way to go, straight from God she has been given a wisdom that loves while she counsels. A mother's love is a true love. And for those who have not had the blessing of having their mother's love, Jesus has become your mother, he wraps his heart around yours to comfort you and to share your hurts and sufferings. He counsels you at the fork in the road and leads you with love in the way you should go. He is the God of all comfort and counsel! He loves the fatherless and motherless and takes the place where the void of a parent is present. For some people Mother's Day or Father's Day is a difficult day, but if we will allow Jesus to comfort us then we will comfort all others just as our mother has.

Today on Mothers Day give your mother love for the comfort that she has brought to your life and if for some reason that is not possible, give Jesus praise because he comforts you!

To The Investigator!

"That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." Colossians 2:2,3

Are you a detective type? Do you like to search out things and find the nuggets of truth within a situation? Do you find yourself investigating everything? There has been an explosion of television shows that encourage and entertain us with this type of material, CSI, Forensic Files, 48 hours, and many more. The drawing attraction to this is examining the mystery and searching out for the hidden truths to solve each puzzle. God has given us a mystery to solve that is full of amazing treasures, but we first have to go through Jesus to find the truth. The mystery of God revealed to us is found in Jesus, in Jesus is all the treasure of wisdom and knowledge that we will ever need to live life to the fullest as God has desired for us. Mathew Henry has written commentary of the whole Bible and tells us in his commentary regarding this passage, "The treasures of wisdom are hidden not from us, but for us, in Christ, and those who would be wise and knowing must make application to Christ." In other words all truth and treasure to be had or to be found must first be applied or requested for through Jesus. There is no shortcut to this process. Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God, "But unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." 1Corinthians 1:24

The power and wisdom of God is a deep treasure and a hidden mystery, hidden from the unbelieving and stored up for the righteous. If you are the detective type, search out God's truth that has been stored up for you in Christ Jesus and you will be amazed as you dig deeper into his word. Go to Jesus today and ask him to reveal more of his treasure to you!

Allusion or Alone?

07:13 am ~ Always with us

www.souls-for-christ.com

May 1, 2011

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, Amen. Mathew 28: 19, 20

This is the commission, we have been trusted with an office, appointed to a great work, and sent forth to teach all that we find or that are sent to us teh truths of God. Disciples are who we are and disciples have been traditionally sent out in pairs, two by two they went forth, and as many as 70 pairs are recorded in scripture, but what happens when you appear to be alone? Does the work stop? No it does not. In 1Kings 19:1-18 Elijah was running for his life after Jezebel sought to kill him. He ran until he reached a cave and he lodged there for safety. Soon loneliness came upon him and he began to talk to God and said, "and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away." 1Kings 19:10. God's reply to Elijah is very important, it's not that God wants us to do this work by ourselves, but He wants us to know that what we feel, what we call lonely, and how things appear to be, are not true. God told Elijah that what he said was not true, Elijah wasn't alone. "Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel,..." 1Kings 19:18 We are not alone! We may feel alone or feel lonely, it may appear that we are in this battle or work of God by ourselves, and we might be crying out to God in our despair, but God is with us always and has many others that are steadfast and true. And he will one to you.

Don't despair Jesus is near to us and will always assist us when we cry out to him, even if it means that he corrects our thoughts about what we feel and what is real. You are not alone, Jesus is with you!

FRIENDS!

01:12 pm ~ FAITHFUL

April 10, 2011

"And Ittai answered the king and said, As the Lord liveth, and as my lord the king liveth, surely in what place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will thy servant be." 2Samuel 15:21

My favorite animal friends are Labrador Retrievers because of their personality, they are very loving, kind, loyal, and compassionate. They are good with children and just allot of fun. I tell you this because many animals are a friend to the family, and we all have heard the sayings that "a man's best friend is a dog", and "a true friend is faithful to the end". Ittai was King David's friend, and he stood with David through all of his battles, through all of his sins, and through all of his troubles at home. Ittai was faithful, never leaving King David's side, and always remaining committed to the King. It has been said that, "blood is thicker than water" in reference to the loyalty that family members should have towards each other, but it could be argued that, "friends are thicker than blood", because friends are the most loyal. I know that, Jesus is our faithful friend and that he will never leave us nor forsake us, Hebrews 13:5, and Jesus is faithful unto the end, and I know that a friend sticketh closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24. Whenever possible, surround yourself with friends and whenever possible, be that close friend to another.

Make a friend today, his loyalty and committment shall never sway! Be a friend today and show others that faithfulness and life-long committment is the only way!
