These provinces & territories will influence the connected purchasing power & has announced for establishing a price level for six common generic medicines at 18% which equals the associated brand name of the drug. The same represent about 20% of the people making expenditures on the generic drugs in Canada. Till date, the distinct provinces & regions make payments that range approximately 25 to 40 % of the related prices of the brand names.
The fresh rates of these six products are to be manipulated from 1st April, 2013 involving the 18% of the brand, they are:
• Atorvastatin- it cures high cholesterol. • Ramipril- helps to cure blood pressure problems & other diseases related to the heart. • Venlafaxine- this helps to cure depression problems & other associated problems related to mental health. • Amlodipine- cures hypertension & angina. • Omeprazole & Rabeprazole- treats different varieties of gastrointestinal problems.
